Service Description

This course is for existing experts witnesses who wish to receive refresher training as part of their continued professional development. A comprehensive day of essential inputs that not only refreshes expert knowledge but also challenges current understanding of the role and conduct in the role. Delivering Expert Witness training across the U.K. has allowed us to experience the good and the bad when it comes to expert evidence report writing and the provision of live expert witness testimony. We seek to share that learning with expert witnesses to increase their resilience and make them less vulnerable to unnecessary challenges that can vastly undermine their credibility and therefore their evidence. Areas covered include: - Role - Responsibilities - Impartiality - Assistance - Reliability - Contents of the Expert's Report - The Index - Expert Witness Self Certificate - Peer Review - Courtroom Skills - Defence Experts Delivered in a relaxed learning environment with much audience participation and debate. This course leaves experts with a clearer understanding of their role and responsibilities, and the knowledge and know-how to produce robust reports that comply fully with the Law, as well as the added confidence in providing live witness testimony.
